The Old Iron Bridge 1974
This view of the old iron bridge across the Frio River at Calliham shows the approach was partially removed to prevent anyone from driving onto the bridge after it was condemned. At first, they simply welded an iron bar across the bridge, but as you might guess, somebody came along at night and ran into it so they had to make sure that did not happen again. As far as is known, it worked, because if anybody went off, they never found them.
