Railroad Walks

San Leon
The North Galveston, Houston and Kansas City Railroad was chartered in 1892. Only 16 miles of track were completed between North Galveston and Virginia Point.

Beeville
The San Antonio and Aransas Pass railroad was the first railroad to reach Beeville in 1886. In 1929, it was absorbed by the Southern Pacific. Today, there is only a three block stretch of track inside the town.

Santa Fe
The Santa Fe Southern is a short line railroad that connects the capital of New Mexico with the Burlington Northern & Santa Fe railroad, which despite its name, by-passes the city by 18 miles.
