Howdy Doody by JD Bedwell Boss, he say to count them dry cows as they stampede through the brushy thicket. I says "I'll do what I can but I ain't no Howdy Doody tally man !" Boss, he say "Build a good strong fence through this rocky boulder ravine." I say "I'll do what I can but I ain't no Howdy Doody miracle man!" Boss, he say "When it gona rain and break the drought in this parched land?" I says, I don't know, it's the Lord's plan and I ain't no Howdy Doody weather man! Pretty school marm say "Tex, take me for a horseback ride all over the 30,000 acre ranch!" I say, " Yes ma'am , I am EXACTLY your ridin' guidin' Howdy Doody man!" |
